When to use and its benefits:

Task points are used to indicate the effort, weight, priority/urgency, or complexity of a task.

  • Helps estimate the workload needed to complete a task.

  • Useful for sprint planning and distributing workloads across the team.

  • Supports velocity tracking (how many story points a team completes in a sprint).

How to apply task point on a task:

1 - Open a task and its properties window.

2 - Under the Points section, click on the "+" icon to add points to the task, scaling 0-5.

3 - You will see an aggregate of all the combined points under the tasklist's name.

If you wish not to use this feature at all, you can disable it in the "Project Settings".
