Requirements:

  • This feature only works if the email used is already registered with Taskworld.

  • Email forwarding is not supported.

Creating a task by email:

1 - Click on the drop-down next to your workspace name in the top left corner of the screen.

2 - Go to “Manage Settings”.

3 - Under the "Task Import" tab, copy the email address we have generated for you.

4 - Follow the steps available below the 2 photos in this section.

Where do your Tasks go?

  • The first time you create a task by email, Taskworld automatically creates a project and some direct tasks for you.

  • Direct tasks are private by default:

    • Only you can see them unless you add others as assignees or followers.

    • If you remove someone from a direct task, they will no longer have access.

    • Direct tasks are visible only to the members who created them.

Outlook Encoding Issue (Garbled Characters):

Some Outlook users may see broken or garbled text when creating tasks via email.

To fix this:

1 - In the message window, go to Home → Actions → Other Actions → Encoding.

2 - Click More and select UTF-8.

3 - Try sending the task again.

If the problem persists, please contact Taskworld Support.

Limitations When Sending Comments by Email:

  • Outlook Web App: Comments will not be logged.

  • Microsoft Outlook (desktop): Comments will be logged, but text may appear broken.
