Beside project permission settings, if you have individual tasks that should not be altered by anyone, you can lock them to restrict all edits.

When a task is locked, project members can no longer edit:

  • Task title

  • Task description

  • Location

  • Due dates

  • Assignees

  • Task points

All other task properties as well as the comment and files sections are not affected.

How to lock/unlock a task:

1 - Open the task properties window.

2 - In the top right corner of the task window, you will see a lock symbol, simply click on it to lock or unlock the task.

3 - The lock symbol dedicates whether the task is opened or locked.

NOTE: Only project admins can lock and unlock tasks.

How to duplicate a task:

1 - Right-click on the task you would like to duplicate or open the task window and click on the 3 dots in the top right corner.

2 - Select Duplicate.

3 - A pop-up window will appear, you create a copy of the task in the same project or a different location, along with all of its elements.

4 - Untick Files, Comments, Checklists and/or Subtasks if you do not wish to have them included.
