What are notes?

You can store important information that doesn’t necessarily belong in a task or isn't an action item. They function like a simple document or notepad inside your project. They help keep key details easily accessible to everyone without needing to attach them to a specific task.

You can use notes to capture things such as:

- Meeting minutes

- Guidelines or instructions

- Reference information

Understanding notes:

  • Workspace Guests are permitted to this feature.

  • When converting from a task to a note:

    • Assignees will become followers.

    • Some task data will be lost: Due Dates, Time Spent & Checklists.

    • Some will remain the same: Description, Location, Tags, Label, GitHub, Comments, and Files & Links. Subtasks will be converted to regular tasks and detached from their parent tasks.

  • When converting from a note to a task, all data will be kept as is.

How to convert (The same applies both ways):

1 - Right-click on the task/note you would like to convert or open the task window and click on the 3 dots in the top right corner.

2 - Select Convert task to note or Convert note to task.

3 - A pop-up window will appear with all the information you should know before converting.

4 - Click Confirm once understood.
