What we'll cover in this guide:

What are custom fields?

With custom fields, you can capture additional information that you cannot track with Taskworld’s native task properties. These fields can be seen within the task window and in the task card while in board view. Right now, you can add additional fields as numeric values, drop-down list, or free text (more options coming soon).

Who can create and edit custom fields?

Project admins can create custom fields. Only the creator and workspace admins can edit or delete existing custom fields.

What’s the difference between private and public custom fields?

A private custom field will only apply to the project you create it in. You will not be able to add it to other projects.

A public custom field can be added to any project (see below).

Please note that you can change a private custom field into a public one but not vice versa.

  1. Open a project

  2. Click Settings Tab in the top of the Tasklists to access the project settings

  3. Go to the tab “Custom Fields”

  4. Click on “Create a new field”, a pop-up window will appear

  5. Give your custom field a title and a placeholding text if needed
