UPDATE MARCH 2024: Customize your own rules for repeat tasks.
We’re giving you even more ways to set up repeating tasks in Taskworld. In addition to our helpful dropdown of fixed repeat task times, you’ll find the new Custom option, which allows you to choose from a range of options to set the exact rules your work requires.
You can now set up your own custom patterns for repeating tasks by day, week, month, and year. For example, you can up a task to repeat:
Every 3 days for a year
Every 2 days for 5 times
Every 2nd Thursday of the Month (perfect for setting up important monthly meetings)
Every September 29th of the Year
And more - the choice is yours!
How to Set Your Custom Repeat Rules:
To find the new Custom option, click on the Plus sign next to Date in your Task properties:
Scroll to the bottom of the Repeat dropdown to find the new Custom option:
Now, you’ll see the options to set up the rules your custom repeating tasks require. For example, let’s set it up to repeat every 2 days and 5 times. Fill in 2 in the field next to Days and set the end date for After 5 times:
In this example, you’ll see a preview of how the Tasks will appear on your calendar and you’ll see your custom rules above the Apply button - Repeat option as Every 2 Days | Ends after 5 occurrences.
Click Apply and the tasks will be automatically added to your calendar. In Board View, you can see that the task will repeat every 2 days on the bottom right of the task card.
