This functionality enables users to reduce management effort by applying rules to task creation, task completion and due dates. Currently available from the Business Plan and above.

Pre-set options:

  • When due date is approaching then move task.

  • When due date is approaching then add assignee.

  • When due date is approaching then add followers.

  • When task added to the project then add followers.

  • When task status completed then move the task.

How to enable Automations:

1 - When you are inside a project, click on the drop-down next to the “Customize” tab to go to the “Automations” page.

2 - Click on the Create automation button.

3 - These rules are preset by design and cannot be amended or customized by users.

4 - Once automation(s) are added, it will be applied accordingly for the selected project ONLY.

NOTE:

  • ONLY project creators and admins can create, activate/deactivate and edit automations.

  • If automation rules are created, they are only applied to a SINGLE project.

How to disable Automations:

1 - From the same “Automations” page, there is a switch aligned with each automation rule to turn it on/off, which all members can manage.

2 - The project admins can edit or remove it completely by clicking the 3-dot next to the switch.

Notifications:

- Any automation being activated in a project will trigger notifications.

- All project members can check the Project Activity Log & Task Activity Log of the project to see what automations have been created and applied.
